PCGamingWiki

PCGamingWiki is a community-run game database. Drop uses a MediaWiki bot password to access its API.

1. Create a bot password

   Sign in to PCGamingWiki and open Special:BotPasswords. Create a bot password and copy the bot username and generated password. Use these credentials, not your account’s normal password.

2. Add the credentials to your compose.yaml

   Set PCGAMINGWIKI_BOT_USERNAME and PCGAMINGWIKI_BOT_PASSWORD in the Drop service environment:

     environment:
       - DATABASE_URL=postgres://drop:drop@postgres:5432/drop
       - EXTERNAL_URL=http://localhost:3000 # default, customise if accessing from another computer or behind a reverse proxy
      - PCGAMINGWIKI_BOT_USERNAME=[bot username]
      - PCGAMINGWIKI_BOT_PASSWORD=[bot password]
